Will abide by Central BJP leaders' decision: Yediyurappa

Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa has said that he will abide by the decision of Central BJP leaders on his continuation as CM in the state. Speaking to media persons in Bengaluru on Thursday, Yediyurappa said that he will complete two years in office on  26th July and on that day, he will abide by any decision on his continuation by the Central leaders. Amidst speculation that Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa will resign after July 26, the Chief Minister Yediyurappa has appealed to his supporters and followers not to indulge in any anti-party activities. He thanked the Lingayat Matt seers for extending their support for his continuation as CM.
He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party President J. P. Nadda for providing him an opportunity to serve the people even when he has crossed the age of 75. Irrespective of him continuing as CM, Yediyurappa said that he will work for the party to return to power in the state in 2023. "When the directions come, I'll quit and work for the party," he said. Insisting that the party leadership had said nothing to him, he remarked: "Let's see what happens on the 26th," he said. On Wednesday evening, the Chief Minister had put out tweets calling himself a "loyal worker of BJP" and urging his supporters not to "indulge in protests and indiscipline that is disrespectful and embarrassing for the party".
